To a solution of 3-bromo-8-chloro-2-methyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyrazine (0.77 g, 3.12 mmol) in iBuOH (10 ml) is added 4-aminomethyl-benzenesulfonamide hydrochloride (1.04 g, 4.69 mmol) and DIPEA (1.63 ml, 9.36 mmol). The reaction is heated to 108° C. and stirred for 16 h. After this time the solution is allowed to cool, resulting in a thick white precipitate. The precipitate is filtered and washed with diethyl ether to give 4-[(3-Bromo-2-methyl-imidazo[1,2-a]pyrazin-8-ylamino)-methyl]-benzenesulphonamide as a white solid (0.37 g, 30%)
