O-chlorobenzyl)hydroxylamine was reacted with 1-(2-cyano-4-(2-methoxy-2-oxoethyl)phenyl)-1H-indole-5-carboxylic acid in the presence of triethylamine and oxalyl chloride according to the method of Example 5, Step E, to provide 2-(4-(5-((4-chlorobenzyloxy)carbamoyl)-1H-indol-1-yl)-3-cyanophenyl)acetic acid. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 8.10 (s, 1H), 7.91 (s, 1H), 7.80 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 7.56-7.64 (m, 3H), 7.50 (d, J=8.7 Hz, 2H), 7.41 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 2H), 7.33 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 1H), 6.85 (d, J=4.1 Hz, 1H), 4.98 (s, 2H), 3.81 (s, 2H).
