Procedure
Using techniques similar to the one described above 1,4-bis[β-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxy phenyl) propionamido] butane (M.P. 203°-205° C); 1,8-bis[β-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxy phenyl) propionamido] octane (M.P. 94.5°-96° C); and 1,12-bis[β-3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxy phenyl) propionamido] dodecane (M.P. 89°-92° C) were prepared by reaction of β-(3,5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxy phenyl) propionyl chloride with respectively 1,4 diamino butane, 1,8-diamino octane and 1,12-diamino dodecane.
