Procedure

5,6-Dihydroxy-2-methylbenzo[d]isothiazol-3-one (0.23 g) was suspended in N,N-dimethylformamide and triethylamine (0.47 g) and acetic acid anhydride (0.24 g) were added at 0° C. After stirring at room temperature for one hour the mixture was poured to ice water and the precipitate was filtered.
