Procedure

{[3-(4-Cyano-phenyl)-2-(R,S)-cyclohexyl-propionyl]-cyclohexylmethyl-amino}-acetic acid tert-butyl ester (2.0 g, 4.29 mmol), hydroxylamine hydrochloride (0.89 g, 12.87 mmol) and triethylamine (1.3 g, 12.87 mmol) were stirred in isopropanol (80 ml) at room temperature for 24 hours. After evaporation, the residue was treated with potassium hydrogen sulfate solution and extracted with dichloromethane. The organic layer was dried and evaporated. Yield: 1.52 g (80%), MS m/z: 444.3 (M+H)+.
