A mixture of 1.5 g of (7-methoxy-1-naphthyl)piperazine and 1.5 g of (2-bromoethyl)phthalimide in 100 ml of acetone is brought to reflux in the presence of 1.6 g of potassium carbonate. The mixture is stirred for 24 hours. The mixture is cooled, it is concentrated. The oil obtained is ground in ether. The requisite quantity of ethereal hydrogen chloride is added to obtain the expected hydrochloride.
