Procedure
To a solution of compound 24 (1.60 g) in EtOAc (100 mL) was added benzyl chloroformate (2.0 g, 1.2 eq.) and Cs2CO3 (3.2 g, 3 eq.). The reaction mixture was stirred at r.t. for 5 h. Triethylamine (2 mL) was added and the reaction was stirred for 3 h. After addition of H2O (30 mL), the organic phase was separated and washed with 1N HCl (2×30 mL), and sat. NaHCO3 (2×30 mL). The solvent was removed by evaporation under reduced pressure to give product 25 as white solid. Yield: 2.4 g, 79.7%.
