To a 500 ml round-bottom flask was added 0.3 moles of vinyl 4-(3-methoxy)benzoateacetone, 0.23 moles of hydroxypropylacrylate, 0.1 mole of methylmethacrylate, 0.3 moles of glycidylmethacrylate, 300 g of THF, and 0.1-3 g of AIBN. The resulting mixture was stirred at 60-75° C. for 5-20 hours under nitrogen atmosphere. The resulting solution was precipitated in ethyl ether or n-hexane and the precipitate was filtered and dried to afford poly[vinyl 4-(3 -methoxy)benzoateacetone-to hydroxypropylmethacrylate-methylmethacrylate-glycidylmethacrylate]resin of Formula 11. Yield: 65-70%.
