A solution of [2-cyclopropyl-8-fluoro-4-methyl-3-(4-pyrazol-1-ylbenzyl)quinolin-5-yloxy]acetic acid methyl ester (0.034 g) in tetrahydrofuran (0.19 mL) and water (0.19 mL) was treated with lithium hydroxide (0.037 g), and the resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The mixture was diluted with water, cooled to 0° C. and acidified by the addition of 1.0 M aqueous hydrochloric acid. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration and dried to afford title compound as a pale pink solid (0.022 g).
