Methyl 4-[8-[4-(aminomethyl)benzyl]-4-(cyclohexylamino)-2-oxo-1,3,8-triazaspiro[4.5]dec-3-en-1-yl]butanoate (265 mg, 0.56 mmol) was dissolved in a 1:1 solution of methanol and THF, and 1N LiOH (1.7 mL, 1.7 mmol) was added to the resulting solution at room temperature. After 3 h, the reaction reached complete conversion, and the resulting solution was neutralized with 1N HCl (1.7 mL, 1.7 mmol) and concentrated in vacuo to give a white solid. LRMS (M+1)=455.3.
