To a solution of N-methyl-N-[2-(1-thia-3,8-diazaspiro[4.5]dec-2-en-2-yl)-1H-indol-7-yl]thiophene-2-sulfonamide (82 mg) and dimethylcarbamoyl chloride (100 μL) in tetrahydrofuran (3 ml) was added triethylamine (100 μL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. Water was added to the reaction mixture, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The ethyl acetate layer was washed with saturated brine, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated. The obtained residue was subjected to silica gel column chromatography to give the title compound (43 mg, yield 46%) as colorless crystals from a fraction eluted with ethyl acetate. melting point 245° C.
