A mixture of 8.7 g 2-[(benzyloxy)carbonyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline-6-carboxylic acid, 94 ml DMF, 35 ml triethylamine, 4.1 g HOBt and 17 g EDC is stirred for 30 min at ambient temperature. 3.3 g of tetrahydropyran-2-yl-hydroxylamine are added and the reaction mixture is stirred overnight. The mixture is added to a mixture of 100 ml water and 200 ml dichloromethane. The organic phase is separated, washed, dried and evaporated. The crude product is purified by silica gel flash chromatography. 11.08 g of the title compound are obtained as colorless oil.
