Procedure

A solution of the product of step 3 (858 mg, 3 mmol), K2CO3 (1.24 g, 3.0 eq.), and 3-bromo-1-chloropropane (0.3 mL, 1.05 eq.) in acetone:DMF (25 mL:3 mL) was heated to 80° C. overnight. The mixture was then filtered, washed with acetone, and concentrated to dryness to afford the product of step 4 (1.17 mg, 98% yield): Mp 92-4° C.; MS m/z 363 (M+H).

Workup

  1. filtrationThe mixture was then filtered
  2. washwashed with acetone
  3. concentrationconcentrated to dryness
