(1R*,2R*,5S*,6R*)-2-{[3,5-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]methoxy}-6-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-1-phenyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]octane (Example 25; 2.1 g, 4.0 mmol), potassium carbonate (1.7 g, 12.0 mmol) and allyl bromide (0.42 ml, 4.8 mmol) in dimethylformamide (10 ml) were stirred at room temperature for 5 hours. The mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with water. The organics were collected, dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by column chromatography, eluting with 10% ethyl acetate/iso-hexane, (1.8 g, 80%).
