Procedure

A solution of 0.33 g of the compound of example 18 and 0.06 g of lithium hydroxide monohydrate in 5 mL of THF and 1 mL of H2O was stirred at 70° C. for 9 h. The solution was added with 2 N aq. HCl to pH≡1 and evaporated to dryness. The residue was taken up with 10 mL of boiling Me2CO and filtered to give 0.32 g (84%) of the title compound as a white solid.

Workup

  1. customevaporated to dryness
  2. filtrationfiltered
