Procedure

(S)-(−)-1-Boc-3-aminopyrrolidine (0.375 g, 2.014 mmol) and triethylamine (0.561 mL, 4.028 mmol) were added to a solution of 2,4-dichloropyrimidine (0.300 g, 2.014 mmol) in DMA (12 mL) at 0° C. After 24 hours at room temperature, water (150 mL) was added and the aqueous phase was extracted with ethyl acetate (3×40 mL). The combined organic extracts were dried (MgSO4) and concentrated. The crude product was purified by silica gel chromatography (5% methanol in dichloromethane) to give the title compound as an oil (0.540 g, 90%).
