A solution of (2R,4S)-1-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)-4-(2-(2-methoxyphenyl)quinazolin-4-ylamino)pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid (0.095 g, 0.204 mmol), dimethylamine hydrochloride (0.017 g, 0.204 mmol), 0-(benzotriazol-1-yl)-N,N,N′,N′-tetramethyluronium tetrafluoroborate (0.077 g, 0.204 mmol), and triethylamine (0.037 mL, 0.265 mmol) in DMF (1 mL) was stirred for 24 hours. Water (20 mL) was added and the aqueous layer was extracted with ethyl acetate (3×20 mL). The organic extracts were combined, dried (MgSO4) and concentrated. Purification by silica gel chromatography (10% methanol in dichloromethane) gave the title compound as a solid (0.090 g, 90%).
