0.62 g of 2-amino-3-cyano-4-hydroxy-6-iodoquinoline is stirred for 40 minutes in 10 ml dimethylformamide in the presence of 1 g solid potassium carbonate, then the solution of 0.6 g O-tosyl-hydroxylamine in 14 ml dichloromethane is added dropwise. After stirring the reaction mixture at room temperature for 4 hours, the precipitated solid material is filtered off and dried to obtain 0.57 g of the title compound (MH+: 327).
