To a stirred solution of 4-(benzyloxy)-1-(2-cyclopropyl-1-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-6-yl)pyridin-2(1H)-one (840 mg) in TFA (21 ml) was added anisole (7 ml), and the reaction mixture was heated at 130° C. for 4 h. The mixture was cooled and concentrated in vacuo. The residue was triturated with Et2O to give the title compound (778 mg) as a white solid.
