Procedure
To a solution of 4-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)-1H-pyrazole (770 mg) in DMF (10 mL) was added sodium hydride (60%, 114 mg) under ice-cooling. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr. To the reaction mixture was added dropwise (2-(chloromethoxy)ethyl)(trimethyl)silane (990 mg) at room temperature, and the mixture was stirred for 15 hr. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, and the mixture was washed with 5% aqueous lithium chloride solution, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (0.90 g).
