Combine 3-(2-(4-(1-(2-ethoxyethyl)-1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)[1,4]diazepan-1-yl)ethyl)-3-phenylpyrrolidine (0.48 g, 1.04 mmol), N,N-diisopropylethylamine (0.35 mL), and 2-methoxy-5-(1H-triazol-1-ylmethyl)benzoyl chloride (0.22 g, 0.94 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (50 mL). After 18 hours, dilute the reaction mixture with ethyl acetate and extract with a saturated aqueous sodium bicarbonate solution and then brine. Dry the organic layer over Na2SO4, filter, and concentrate in vacuo to give a residue. Chromatograph the residue on silica gel eluting with methanol/dichloromethane/concentrated aqueous ammonia 10/90/0.5 give the title compound: Rf=0.68 (silica gel, methanol/dichloromethane/concentrated aqueous ammonia 10/90/0.1).
