Methyl 2-(4-{[(4-bromo-5-methyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)carbonyl]amino}piperidin-1-yl)-6-chloroisonicotinate (Example 43, 1.7 g, 3.72 mmol) was dissolved in THF (10 ml). 2 N lithium hydroxide (10 ml) was added and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 3 h. The mixture was acidified with 1 N HCl and was extracted with EtOAc (3×50 ml), dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo.
