2-(4-t-Butyl-phenyl)-7-hydroxy-2,3-dihydro-isoindol-1-one (0.201 g), 4-hydroxymethylpyridine (96 mg) and PPh3 (0.212 g) were dissolved in THF (20 mL). DIAD (0.16 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred at RT for 2 h. Solvent was evaporated and the residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (70 g, 100% EtOAc) to afford 2-(4-t-butyl-phenyl)-7-(pyridin-4-ylmethoxy)-2,3-dihydro-isoindol-1-one as a white solid.
