To a solution of tert-butyl 4-(5-{4-[(1,2-benzisoxazol-3-ylamino)carbonyl]piperazin-1-yl}-1,2,4-thiadiazol-3-yl)piperazine-1-carboxylate (87.0 mg, 0.169 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (5 ml) and methanol (3 ml) was added a solution of 4 N hydrogen chloride in ethyl acetate (8 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hours. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure. The residue was recrystallized from a mixed solvent of methanol and diethyl ether to give 50.0 mg (65.6%) of the desired product.
