In a similar manner to that described in Example (1a), 4-fluoro-3′-nitrobenzophenone (2.0 g), 1-(3,4-difluorophenyl)ethylamine hydrochloride (3.16 g), triethylamine (6.82 ml), titanium tetrachloride (1.08 ml), sodium cyanoborohydride (2.28 g) and acetic acid (0.7 ml) were reacted, to afford the title compound (3.03 g) as a yellow oil.
