Procedure
To the solution of the compound prepared in (a) (115.3 mg, 0.174 mmole) in anisole (0.5 ml) was added trifluoroacetic acid (2.0 ml) at 0° C. Crystals were deposited by the addition of isopropyl ether at 0° C., collected by filtration, and lyophilized to give 82.1 mg of a crude product, which was purified on a LH column (50% methanol) to give 76.6 mg of the title compound as a colorless crystal (yield, 77.8%).
