Procedure
Compound 7 (237.4 mg, 560 μmol) was dissolved in dry CH2Cl2 (2 mL), and bromine (32 μl, 620 μmol) was added. The reaction was monitored by TLC (heptane:EtOAc, 1:1). When the reaction was complete, a small amount of cyclopentene was added to the reaction mixture to remove the rests of Br2. The mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure and purified by quick Flash chromatography (Eluyent: 500 mL heptane:EtOAc, 2:1).
