The mixture of 3-(5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)propanoic acid (500 mg, 20 mmol), (2E)-3-pentyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6-dione 2-hydrazone (480 mg, 0.0020 mol), benzotriazol-1-yloxytris(dimethylamino)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (980 mg, 22 mmol), 4-dimethylaminopyridine (100 mg, 10 mmol), and N,N-diisopropylethylamine (0.73 mL, 42 mmol) in DMF (30 mL) was stirred at room temperature overnight. The mixture was quenched with water and extracted with ethyl acetate three times. The combined organic layers were washed by brine, dried over sodium sulfate, filtered and concentrated. The crude residue was purified by flash column chromatography to yield the desired product (485 mg, 48.5%). LCMS calculated for C21H25N8O3 (M+H): 437.2. Found 437.2.
