A mixture of 4-(4-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)butanoic acid (190 mg, 0.825 mmol), (2E)-3-pentyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6-dione 2-hydrazone (195.0 mg, 0.825 mmol), benzotriazol-1-yloxytris(dimethylamino)phosphonium hexafluorophosphate (401 mg, 0.908 mmol) and triethyl amine (0.23 ml, 1.65 mmol) in DMF (10 ml) was stirred at room temperature overnight. The mixture was diluted with EtOAc and washed with water and then brine. The organic phase was dried over Na2SO4, filtered and concentrated to yield the desired product (369 mg, 99.7% yield) as yellowish oil. LCMS calculated for C23H29N8O2 (M+H): 449.2. Found: 449.2.
