5-(2-((4-(3-Ethoxycarbonylpropyl)piperidin-1-yl)carbonyl)amino)pyridin-4-yloxy)-1H-indole-1-carboxylic acid methylamide (271 mg, 0.54 mmol, Production example 43-3) was dissolved in tetrahydrofuran (3.0 ml) and methanol (1.5 ml); 4N lithium hydroxide (0.54 ml) was added; and the reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3.5 hours. 1N hydrochloric acid (2.2 ml) was added thereto while the stirred at room temperature. After the precipitated crystals were filtered off, the crystals were washed with water and diethyl ether sequentially, and dried under aeration to yield the title compound (170 mg, 0.35 mmol, 66%) as colorless crystals.
