Procedure
To a solution of 8-cyclopentyl-2-chloro-1-propyl-1,7-dihydro-purin-6-one (0.06 g, 0.21 mmol) in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (0.2 ml) was added K2CO3 (0.044 g, 0.32 mmol) followed by 3,4-difluoro phenol and the reaction mixture was heated at 130° C. overnight. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and water. The layers were separated and ethyl acetate layer was washed with water. The ethyl acetate layer was dried over anhydrous sodium sulphate and concentrated under vacuum. The crude product was purified by preparative TLC using 3% methanol in DCM to give the product (0.015 g, 19%) as a white solid.
