Procedure
8.13 g of compound 15 (37.5 mmole) was dissolved in 145 ml THF. This solution was added dropwise to a solution of 12.9 g m-chloro-perbenzoic acid (74.8 mmole) in 55 ml THF and stirred overnight. To the reaction mixture 150 ml saturated sodiumbicarbonate and 500 ml water were added. The resulting suspension was extracted three times with 250 ml ethyl acetate. After evaporation compound 16 was obtained as a white solid (7.4 g, 84% yield).
