7 g of 6-bromohexanol was dissolved in a mixed solution of 5 ml of triethylamine as base and 50 ml of THF, and then, cinnamoyl chloride was added dropwise thereto at 0° C. The resultant was filtered to remove the solvent and the residue was purified with a SiO2 column chromatography (EA:n-Hexane=1:5) to obtain 8 g of 6-bromohexyl cinnamate (yield: 53%).
