Procedure
Using 5-(2-tert-butoxycarbonylpropyl)thiophene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester obtained as an intermediate of Example 13, and in the same manner as in Example 31, optical resolution was performed. The obtained (2R)-5-(2-tert-butoxycarbonylpropyl) thiophene-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (0.18 g, 0.63 mmol) was suspended in methanol (1.6 mL) and tetrahydrofuran (1.6 mL), 1N aqueous lithium hydroxide solution (1.6 mL) was added, and the mixture was stirred overnight. 1N Hydrochloric acid (2 mL) was added to the reaction mixture, and the mixture was extracted with ethyl acetate. The extract was washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (0.17 g).
