A 100-mL round-bottomed flask equipped with a reflux condenser was charged with 132b (580 mg. 1.42 mmol), bis(pinacolato)diboron (1.2 g, 4.5 mmol), Pd2(dba)3 (137 mg, 0.15 mmol), X-phos (71 mg, 0.15 mmol), potassium acetate (294 mg, 3.0 mmol), and 1,4-dioxane (20 mL). After three cycles of vacuum/argon flush, the mixture was heated at 70° C. for 2 h. Then it was filtered and the filtrate was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was washed with petroleum ether to afford 132c (500 mg, 94%) as a white solid, which was used in the next step without further purification. MS-ESI: [M+H]+ 373.1
