(4-Methanesulfonyl-2-nitro-phenyl)methyl-amine (182 mg) was prepared by following General Procedure A starting from 1-fluoro-4-methanesulfonyl-2-nitro-benzene (219 mg) and methylamine (2 M in THF, 1.0 ml) in DMF (5 mL). The crude product was used in the next step without further purification.
