Procedure

4-[2-(tert-Butoxycarbonyl-methyl-amino)-ethylamino]-3-nitro-benzoic acid methyl ester (1.7 g) was prepared by following General Procedure A starting from 4-chloro-3-nitro-benzoic acid methyl ester (1 g), (2-amino-ethyl)-methyl-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.2 g) and DIEA (1.7 mL) in THF (20 mL).
