Triethylamine (310 μl) and water (1.5 mL) were added to a solution of 1,4-dimethoxy-1H-indole-6-carboxylic acid (300 mg), 6-(1H-tetrazol-5-yl)spiro[chroman-2,4′-piperidin]-4-one hydrochloride (478 mg), WSC (311 mg) and HOBT (249 mg) in DMF (6 mL), and stirred at 90° C. for 30 minutes. Water was added thereto at room temperature, and a white precipitate was thus obtained. This was dried under reduced pressure, washed with a mixed solvent of methanol and diethyl ether, and dried again under reduced pressure to obtain the above-described compound as a colorless solid. 1H-NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ: 8.41 (1H, d, J=2.2 Hz), 8.23 (1H, dd, J=8.5, 2.2 Hz), 7.63 (1H, d, J=3.4 Hz), 7.33 (1H, d, J=8.5 Hz), 7.11 (1H, s), 6.58 (1H, s), 6.37 (1H, d, J=3.4 Hz), 4.34-4.18 (1H, br m), 4.05 (3H, s), 3.89 (3H, s), 3.73-3.14 (3H, br m), 2.98 (2H, s), 2.15-1.76 (4H, br m); MS [M+H]+=489.
