1-(2-Pyridyl)piperazine (106 m) was dissolved in chloroform (2 mL), and neopentyl chloroformate (0.10 mL) and triethylamine (0.135 mL) were added thereto and stirred at room temperature for 5 hours, and the reaction liquid was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with water and saturated saline water and dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate. The solvent was evaporated away, and the resulting residue was isolated and purified through thin-layer silica gel chromatography (chloroform/methanol=19/1) to obtain 177 mg of the entitled compound as a colorless solid.
