Methyl cis(±)-2-(acetylamino)-5-(4-amino-3-methoxypiperidin-1-yl)benzoate obtained in Example (185d) (210 mg, 0.65 mmol) and 4-chloro-5-ethyl-1H-imidazole-2-carboxylic acid obtained in Example (1d) (113 mg, 0.65 mmol) were dissolved in DMA (3 ml). WSC hydrochloride (500 mg, 2.6 mmol) and HOBt (88 mg, 0.65 mmol) were added, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction solution was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with water and brine, and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. Following concentration under reduced pressure, the residue was recrystallized from an ethyl acetate/hexane solvent to obtain 120 mg of the title compound as crystals.
