A mixture of 3-(4-bromobutyl)-2,5,5-trimethyl-4-thiazolidinone (3.6 g), 6-chloro-1,2-benzisothiazol-3-yl piperazine (3.7 g), K2CO3 (4.0 g) and NaI (200 mg) in CH3CN (175 ml) was heated at 80° C. for 18 hours and the product was processed in substantially the same manner as in Example 10 to afford 4.714 g of product, m.p. 204°-206° C.
