tert-Butyl 1-piperazine carboxylate (5.0 g) was dissolved in dichloromethane (20 mL), and triethylamine (3.8 mL) was added thereto. With ice cooling, 3-((6-chloro-2-naphthyl)sulfonyl)propionic acid (8.0 g), HOBt (4.5 g) and WSC (5.7 g) were added thereto, and the mixture was mixed at room temperature for 16 hours. The reaction solution was basified with an aqueous potassium carbonate solution, then extracted with chloroform, and the extract was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The solvent was distilled off, and the residue was dissolved in trifluoroacetic acid (25 mL) and mixed at room temperature for 1 hour. After concentrating the reaction solution, the residue was basified with an aqueous potassium carbonate solution and extracted with chloroform. The extract was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and then the solvent was concentrated to give the title compound (8.7 g) as a pale brown oily matter.
