To a solution of (3R)-3-methyl-4-({1-[4-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-1H-tetrazol-5-yl}methyl)-2-piperazinone (100 mg, 0.294 mmol, intermediate 18), in N,N-Dimethylformamide (DMF) (1 mL) was added iodoethane (0.026 mL, 0.323 mmol) and sodium hydride (23.5 mg, 0.588 mmol).
