Procedure
Sodium hydride (45.7 mg, 1.142 mmol, 60% dispersion in mineral oil) was added to a solution of methyl 1H-indole-3-carboxylate (200 mg, 1.142 mmol) in DMF (2283 μl) at RT. After 30 min, 2-fluoropyridine (99 μl, 1.142 mmol) was added to the mixture and the resulting suspension was heated at 120° C. for 14 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with DMF, filtered, and purified by HPLC to afford the title compound as a white solid.
