Procedure
A mixture of the product from Example 4A (0.296 g, 1.15 mmol) and a solution of dimethylamine in THF (2 M, 2.3 mL, 4.6 mmol) in DMF (2 mL) was microwaved at 200° C. for 30 minutes, diluted with EtOAc, washed with water and brine, dried (Na2SO4), filtered, and concentrated to give 0.25 g of crude 4-(6-(dimethylamino)pyridin-3-yl)phthalazin-1(2H)-one, which was used without purification.
