To {5-[2-({N-[2-(6-chloro-pyridin-3-yl)-acetyl]-N-ethyl-amino}-methyl)-4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl]-pyridin-3-yl}-acetic acid ethyl ester (0.085 g, 0.16 mmol) in THF (2 mL) was added 1N aqueous LiOH (2 mL), and the reaction was stirred at 50° C. The mixture was neutralized with 1N aqueous HCl to pH 3-4 and extracted three times with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were dried and concentrated to give Compound 31.
