To 3-ethynylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine (0.032 g, 0.22 mmol) in anhydrous DMF (1.26 mL) was added N-(3-(2-((dimethylamino)methyl)-1H-imidazol-1-yl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl)-3-iodo-4-methylbenzamide (prepared as in Example 3), Pd(PPh3)4 (0.013 g, 0.011 mmol), CuI (0.0032 mg, 0.0165 mmol) and DIPEA (0.064 mL, 0.44 mmol). The solution was degassed with argon for 15 minutes then stirred overnight at rt. The solvent was removed and the resultant residue was chromatographed over silica gel eluting initially with EtOAc and then with methanol/methylene chloride (5:95) to furnish the desired product: (0.07 g, 59%) MS (M+H)+542.
