3,5,6-Trichloro-1,2,4-triazine (520 mg, 2.8 mmol) was dissolved in 5 mL NMP. To it was added 2,3-difluorobenzylamine (0.36 mL, 3.1 mmol) and DIEA (0.54 mL, 3.1 mmol). The mixture was stirred at RT for 20 m. It was diluted with EtOAc, washed with brine twice, dried over MgSO4, concentrated in vacuo, and subjected to flash column to afford 3,6-dichloro-N-(2,3-difluorobenzyl)-1,2,4-triazin-5-amine.
