To a solution of 12-(2-Iodoacetylamino)dodecanoic acid (460 mg) in THF (10 ml) was added TSTU (415 mg) and DIPEA (0.315 ml). After stirring at room temperature for 2 h, the mixture was pored in to 0.5 N HCl (200 ml) and was extracted with ethyl acetate (2×200 ml). The combined organic layers was washed with 0.1 N HCl and brine, dried with magnesium sulphate and concentrated. The residue was used without further purification. Yield, 99% (575 mg). LC-MS, M/z: 481.2 (M+1).
