Procedure
The mixture of tert-butyl (2S,4S)-4-{[(1-isopropyl-1H-indazol-3-yl)carbonyl]amino}-2-{[(methylsulfonyl)oxy]methyl}pyrrolidine-1-carboxylate (197 mg, 0.41 mmol, step 1 of Example 17) and 40% monomethylamine aqueous solution (3 mL) in tetrahydrofuran (2 mL) was stirred at 80° C. for 32 h. After cooling to room temperature, the mixture was added to saturated sodium hydrogencarbonate aqueous solution. The organic phase was extracted with ethyl acetate (10 mL×3). The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over sodium sulfate and concentrated. The residue was chromatographed on a column of NH gel eluting with n-hexane/ethyl acetate (4:1 to 2:1) to give 66 mg (39%) of the title compound as a white solid.
